Black Cards loses Bebe Rexha as Lead Vocalist

The Black Cards’ Facebook has stated the Bebe Rexha has left the group.  Pete has released a statement regarding her departure:

It started out as friends. Never planned to do much of anything. I’d scribble my thoughts down and my friend sam would put them to music. In the studio next door to sams, we heard bebe and grant working on songs and the black cards collective was born. I got my friends spencer and nate involved so we could play live. We played a few shows and people started to take notice. Bebe started getting calls to write with all the producers in ny and la. Spencer and I started fucking around with people’s accapellas for fun. We remixed our friends records, cobra, anjulie and gym class. Then we remixed rihanna and major lazer, then we went to #1 on hype machine. Life felt fun again. Having to get myself through a toxic cloud that was the past year of my life was important. The homies that have been a part of black cards will still be homies. I needed to feel like myself again. Good news is that I do. I appreciate everyone who has been a part of this journey and there are songs that you still will get a chance to hear and we will be coming through your city to steal your puppies and turn your brains to mush.

So bebe was writing with producers and we were hijacking other producers.

New year, new beginnings. Bebe is now a solo artist. Follow her @beberexha and we have a mixtape coming out.

The black cards are dead. Long live the black cards.

PROGRESS!

I’ve made progress, ladies and gents.  The following pages are up.  Please notify me of any discrepancies.

>> Meet the Guys
>> Band History
>> Discography
>> Videography
>> Lyrics
>> Meet/Contact the Staff
>> Site Credits and Thank You’s

The site is about at 75%.  So, it’s mostly done.  I’ve also updated the touring information and projects the guys are working on.  Aside from Black Cards finally anticipating a release of a mix tape, there really isn’t any touring information on ANY of them.  No joke.  I still have to get the gallery up and going.  That’s a project in itself.  Once I get that up and running, I’ll let you all know.

Thanks for all your patience and support.  I start school TODAY! Also…

I was aiming for the anniversary date to finish HH, but due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to push back production.  Needless to say, I completely forgot about HH’s FIFTH year anniversary!  So, happy BELATED birthday to US!

That is all!

Hi! Hello! How Are Ya? Long Time, No See!

Yeah, after pathetic attempts at trying to make free time for HH, I’ve finally decided that, come hell or high water, I will have this site completed before school starts up again in mid-January.  With that being said, my attempts, at the moment, are weak… considering it’s taken me forever to write 3/4 short biography for the guys.  Needless to say, they have done a lot of shit since the announcement of the hiatus, so writing brand new, concise biographies are hampering my abilities to get A LOT done.  It’s 2:45am, I’m tired and have a 5-mile long list of things to do by midnight… or at least until I’m dragged out of my house by force to celebrate NYE.

I’m on my final semester of graduate school and will be embarking on new journeys when I finally graduate.  Not to mention, getting this site up and running is one of those journeys.  So, while I build this site, study, work, volunteer, help, catch up with friends, spend time with family, …did I say study already?, and something else …my ass off, I wanted to let you know that I haven’t forgotten about you all and am thoroughly grateful for your patience, support and understanding.  Although I admit that I burn the candle on both ends, I’m also hitting the age of 26 in three short months and well, can I just say that while young, effects of old age has begun to settle in (a.k.a. I’m human and tend to forget things).

Also, if I forget to say it when it’s time…

From ALL of us here at HH, we wish every single one of you happiness and prosperity in the new year.  We love you all.

Also, please check out this band, All For Nothing.  They did a cover of “Sugar We’re Going Down” and it’s AWESOME.  Definitely brings forth some nostalgia.  Enjoy!
